This was a wonderful event. In an atmosphere of great goodwill and harmony, Western Academics and Tibetan Buddhist Lamas came together and presented their views on Buddhist Education. The audience included a multinational group of officials and students, monks and nuns, hippies, householders and princes.
Since Buddhist studies can not be entirely comprehended through books alone, this kind of meeting can only serve to enrich the Academic approach to Buddhism in the West, thus help manifest the benefits of Buddhadharma everywhere. May Rangjung Yeshe prosper and continue providing teachings and events like this for a very long time.
